Bollywood Actor Vishal Jethwa's 'Homebound' Earns Oscars Nod

In a proud moment for Indian cinema, Bollywood actor Vishal Jethwa's film 'Homebound' has been selected as India's official entry to the prestigious Oscars awards. Jethwa, who made his debut as a showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week last month, walked the ramp for designer duo Jigar and Nikita's latest collection.

Speaking about his initial reaction to the Oscars news, Jethwa shared that he immediately called his mother, as they were both in disbelief. The actor, who began his career with a memorable role as a young Akbar in the TV series 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap', says he is inspired by his journey so far, which has seen many ups and downs.

"It wasn't easy, and I loved my work. I am just enjoying myself. When I look back and see my journey, I see a lot of ups and downs and slow growth. I am so inspired by my journey," Jethwa added.

The fashion show also featured a double showstopper moment, with 'Cocktail' actress Diana Penty also gracing the ramp. Designers Jigar and Nikita's collection, titled "11°E", aimed to emphasize the global awakening of the East through rich, intricate patterns and stunning hues.
