In a spectacular turn of events, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol joined the grand Ramlila celebrations in Delhi this Dussehra. Invited by the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, Deol took center stage at the historic Red Fort grounds on October 2nd, where he performed the symbolic burning of Ravana's effigy.
Dressed in a dapper blue ethnic outfit, Deol shot an arrow to set the massive effigy ablaze, drawing cheers and whistles from the massive crowd gathered for the event. His presence at the Ramlila celebrations, known for blending mythology with modern spectacle, added a touch of cinematic flair to the festivities.
Earlier, Deol had expressed his excitement to be a part of the celebrations, saying in a video message, "This time, I'm coming to Delhi's Ramlila, so see you on Dussehra." The Luv Kush Ramlila Committee president, Arjun Kumar, noted that Deol's participation was expected to make the Dussehra celebrations even more spectacular and memorable.
Deol's involvement in the iconic Ramlila event comes on the heels of his recent success with the web series "The Ba***ds of Bollywood" on Netflix. The actor has also resumed shooting for his next untitled project in the scenic valleys of Ladakh, alongside co-star Fatima Sana Shaikh. He is also set to appear in the upcoming spy-thriller "Alpha" with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, slated for a Christmas release this year.
