In a recent interview, acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap opened up about the struggles he faced while making his upcoming film 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat', set to release in 2023. Kashyap revealed that midway through production, Reliance Entertainment, the studio backing the project, unexpectedly dumped the film, leaving him in a precarious situation.
Determined to see his vision through, Kashyap turned to some of Bollywood's most respected names for help. He reached out to Vishal Bhardwaj, Rajkumar Hirani, and Imtiaz Ali, who all stepped in to lend their expertise. Bhardwaj advised Kashyap on how to structure the film, including the addition of a narrator, leading Kashyap to cast Vicky Kaushal in the role.
But the most significant assistance came from Hirani, who took it upon himself to edit the film for 2 weeks. Impressed by Kashyap's artistic intent, Hirani worked tirelessly to give the film a cohesive structure and ensure it could be completed. Imtiaz Ali also provided valuable creative inputs during this process.
Kashyap's perseverance and the industry's support ultimately paid off, as 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat' is now set to hit theaters in 2023, with a diverse cast including Karan Mehta, Alaya F, and Sapna Pabbi.
