Bollywood Icon Prem Chopra Recovering After Brief Hospital Stay

On November 8, 2025, veteran Bollywood actor Prem Chopra was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai due to chest congestion. Chopra, who is known for his iconic villainous roles, has been under medical care for the past three days and is currently recovering well.

Chopra's family has confirmed that he is expected to be discharged from the hospital in the next 3-4 days. The 85-year-old actor began his film career in the 1960s, making his debut in the National Award-winning Punjabi film "Chaudhary Karnail Singh." He later transitioned to Hindi cinema, gaining early recognition for his role in the 1965 film "Shaheed."

Over the course of his remarkable six-decade career, Prem Chopra has appeared in more than 300 films, cementing his status as one of Bollywood's most celebrated and recognizable actors.
