Bollywood's box office experienced a remarkable comeback in September 2026, following a subdued August. The cumulative net collection reached an impressive 583.75 crore, making it the second-highest-grossing month of the year, surpassed only by March.
The devotional drama Hanuman Ansh and the popular franchise film Mirzapur The Movie were the primary drivers of this success. Hanuman Ansh garnered 266.65 crore net, while Mirzapur The Movie contributed 232.02 crore net.
The Vvaan also performed well, adding 50.25 crore net to the total. Other releases like Vibe, Haiwaan, Daayra, and Awarapan 2 earned less than 20 crore each.
This September's performance marked a substantial 128.66% increase compared to August's 255.29 crore, highlighting a strong recovery for the industry.
