Australian indie rock outfit Body Type has officially joined the p(doom) Records label, founded by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
To commemorate this new partnership, the post-punk band has released their latest single, "And What Else?" on April 8, 2026. Vocalist Sophie McComish described the song as a "cathartic cry out against feeling insecure in a relationship."
The Sydney-based band, formed in 2016, is comprised of Sophie McComish, Annabel Blackman, Cecil Coleman, and Georgia Wilkinson-Derums. They have previously been recognized with award shortlistings and have shared stages with numerous notable international acts.
Following a hiatus during which members pursued individual projects, Body Type reunited in 2024. "And What Else?" is their first musical offering since their return.
Body Type is now a label mate to bands like Babe Rainbow and King Gizzard itself. Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard expressed his enthusiasm for the signing.
The band is scheduled to perform in support of the new single next week, with dates at Sydney Biennale on April 17 and multiple shows at Melbourne's Punters Club on April 18.
