In this future, a body's exhausted resources do not mean the end; consciousness can persist in digital limbo and later inhabit a new body. However, this revival comes at a price. The protagonist, Rana, returns to life in a basic body after a century as data, only to discover his son has chosen to die naturally and vanish forever, challenging the established system.
