17 Oct
Summary
- Vince Leone, the Fire Country station chief, dies in the Zabel Ridge fire
- Bode Leone, Vince's son, is left to grapple with immense grief and trauma
- Station 42 must rally together for a high-stakes rescue mission

In the aftermath of the explosive Season 3 finale of Fire Country, the CBS hit firefighter drama returns with a heavy heart. As of October 18th, 2025, the show's viewers have learned that Vince Leone, the station chief and patriarch of the Leone family, did not survive the Zabel Ridge fire that engulfed the Buena Vista memory care facility.
Bode Leone, Vince's son and a Cal Fire firefighter, is now left to grapple with the unimaginable loss. Thieriot, who plays Bode, has revealed that the character's grief in Season 4 is unlike anything he has experienced before, perhaps since the death of his sister Riley. Bode will be "at the edge of not being able to put one foot in front of the other," constantly on the verge of breaking down.
However, Bode will have the support of his mother and the rest of the Cal Fire crew, including his best friend Jake, to help him through this difficult time. One person who won't be part of his grief journey, though, is Gabriela Perez, Bode's on-again-off-again love interest, as the show has confirmed that actress Stephanie Arcila will be leaving Fire Country early in the season.
Despite the internal turmoil at Station 42, the team must rally together for a high-stakes rescue mission that will test their strength, loyalty, and the future of the firehouse. As the season progresses, Bode's journey will be one of rising from the ashes and overcoming the devastating loss he has faced.
