Boba Fett's Future Uncertain After Fan Plea Backfires
6 Mar
Summary
- Actor Temuera Morrison asked fans to campaign for Boba Fett's return.
- Lucasfilm reportedly did not respond well to the fan campaign.
- Boba Fett's story concluded in "The Book of Boba Fett" as of 2022.

Temuera Morrison, the actor behind Boba Fett in recent Star Wars installments, learned that prompting fans to lobby Lucasfilm for his character's comeback was not favored by the studio. In August of last year, Morrison encouraged attendees at the Tampa Bay Comic Convention to campaign for his return, alongside Daniel Logan who played young Boba Fett.
However, Morrison recently revealed that this plea did not resonate well with Lucasfilm executives. Boba Fett's narrative saw a conclusion in the final episode of "The Book of Boba Fett" in 2022, with the bounty hunter successfully defending Mos Espa. This victory, coupled with Fennec Shand's actions against rival crime lords, secured Boba's position.
Despite the actor's enthusiasm and past appearances, including a cameo in "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and voice roles in "Ahsoka," it seems Boba Fett is in carbon freeze for now. Future adventures might appear in novels or comics, but Morrison's onscreen return as Boba Fett in a significant capacity remains uncertain as of March 2026.
