Other notable recipients this year include actors Dwayne Johnson, Anne Hathaway, and Alan Tudyk, alongside writer and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda. The Jonas Brothers will also be honored for their impact on Disney music, as will ESPN talent Chris Berman and Broadway's original Belle, Susan Egan.
Director Jerry Bruckheimer and animator Eric Goldberg are also among the distinguished honorees. Josh D'Amaro, Disney's CEO, expressed that celebrating these extraordinary individuals at D23, alongside fans, highlights their profound impact on the company.
The event, hosted by Ryan Seacrest, is scheduled for Sunday, August 16, at the Honda Center in Anaheim and will be available for streaming on Disney+. This induction places Iger among past honorees like Fred MacMurray, Julie Andrews, Robert Downey Jr., Robin Williams, Harrison Ford, James Cameron, George Lucas, Barbara Walters, Stan Lee, Alan Menken, and Oprah Winfrey.
