Simultaneously, Fistral Beach hosted the Boardmasters Open surf competition, attracting thousands more to the scenic Cornish coast. Festival director Rob Spring attributed the event's success to its unique combination of world-class music, elite surfing, and the characteristic Cornish atmosphere, enhanced by favorable weather.
