Blumhouse has announced its next foray into horror video game adaptations with a feature film based on the 2023 indie puzzle game, "Amanda the Adventurer." The project is being developed by Matthew "MatPat" Patrick, known for his YouTube "Theory" channels and his role in Blumhouse's "Five Nights at Freddy's." Patrick Ewald, CEO of Epic Pictures' parent company DreadXP, will produce the film. The game centers on Riley Park uncovering a disturbing mystery surrounding a fictional children's television show after finding a mysterious videotape. This new venture follows the substantial global success of the "Five Nights at Freddy's" franchise, which has garnered over $520 million worldwide and is anticipated to conclude with a trilogy. MatPat himself has prior experience with Blumhouse, having voiced a character in the "Five Nights at Freddy's" sequel.
