The move addresses a long-standing player request for an ad-free experience, as previous versions interrupted gameplay with advertisements after each loss.

While the game has demonstrated continuous growth with tens of millions of new users monthly and high engagement figures like 70 million daily active users, recent data suggests download numbers may have peaked in late 2024. This maturation makes it an opportune time for its integration into Apple's subscription service.

Block Blast!+ joins other titles launching on Apple Arcade on September 3, including Art of Fauna: Cozy Puzzles+, NFL Retro Bowl '27, Coloring Games for Families+, and Let's Play! Oink Games+. Apple Arcade offers access to over 200 games for $6.99 per month, or as part of Apple One plans.
