A unique workshop recently offered Mumbaikars an immersive creative experience by merging blindfold painting with sound healing. The 'Feel and Paint Workshop,' hosted by the Bombay Times Life Styled Club, aimed to provide a 'nervous system reset' for attendees seeking a break from everyday stimuli.
Art facilitator Lavanya Rastogi and yoga therapist Shikha Jhunjhunwala led the session. By removing sight, participants were encouraged to let go of perfectionism and express themselves freely. Sound frequencies from singing bowls and other instruments complemented the blindfolded painting, creating a therapeutic atmosphere.
Participants described the experience as liberating and deeply immersive, a novel way to engage with art and mindfulness. Many found it a welcome departure from routine, allowing for emotional processing and a unique artistic discovery. The event highlighted the power of sensory reduction in fostering creativity and self-expression.
