Blake Lively has escalated her legal fight by demanding potentially tens of millions of dollars from former co-star Justin Baldoni. This action follows the recent settlement of their nearly two-year legal battle, which concluded on Monday, May 5, 2026. Lively's legal team argues that Baldoni's now-dismissed defamation lawsuit was a retaliatory measure. They contend it was filed to silence Lively after she raised allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct on the set of "It Ends With Us." Lively's attorneys are seeking a significant financial judgment, including triple damages and punitive damages.

Representatives for Lively stated that the settlement represents a victory, holding Baldoni and other defendants personally liable for abusing the legal system. They emphasized that the defendants' admission signifies an end to claims that Lively fabricated her allegations. Conversely, a spokesperson for Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios framed the outcome as a total victory for their side, asserting that most of Lively's claims, including all sexual harassment allegations, were already dismissed by the court. This pending request for fees stems from a narrow issue that has been with the court since September 2025.
