Summary

- Baldoni's defamation lawsuit against Lively was dismissed.
- Lively's prior claims included breach of contract and retaliation.

Blake Lively is pursuing legal fees and costs exceeding $8 million following the dismissal of Justin Baldoni's defamation lawsuit against her. In new court filings, Lively is requesting a judge award her $7,495,526.87 for attorneys' fees and an additional $539,514.01 for incurred court costs and expenses.
Baldoni's $400 million defamation lawsuit was recently thrown out by a judge. The court also ruled that Baldoni would be responsible for covering Lively's legal expenses, though her attempt to secure other damages was unsuccessful.
This financial award request follows the settlement of a years-long legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni in May, just before their trial was scheduled to commence. Lively's initial claims had included allegations of breach of contract and retaliation.
Previously, Lively had asserted she lost millions due to an alleged smear campaign orchestrated by Baldoni and his team after their film's release, alongside claims of sexual harassment. While most of her claims were dismissed, the breach of contract and retaliation issues were subject to resolution. The court is now working to finalize these remaining matters, with anticipation surrounding whether Baldoni and Wayfarer will indeed pay Lively the substantial sum she is claiming.
