Kelly Rowland was honored with the Velvet Guard Award, with her 'bonus mom,' Tina Knowles, presenting. Choreographer Fatima Robinson received the Guardian of Vision Award, reflecting on her parents' deferred dreams and her own journey.
Music executive Natina Nimene was recognized with the New Guard Award, expressing gratitude for her mentor and her commitment to empowering women. Veteran journalist Gail Mitchell and producer Ebonie Smith received Guardian Angel Spotlights, acknowledging their roles as messengers and protectors within the music industry.
