Summary
- Black Phone 2 has earned $130.2 million globally.
- It aims to surpass Shazam! Fury of the Gods' earnings.
- The sequel needs $7 million more to hit top 30 for 2025.

Scott Derrickson's chilling sequel, Black Phone 2, is nearing the end of its sixth week in theaters and approaching a key box office achievement. With a current worldwide gross of $130.2 million, the film is positioned to surpass the global earnings of the 2023 DCEU film Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which stands at $133.3 million. The horror sequel is currently trailing the superhero film by less than $4 million.
The supernatural thriller also has its sights set on re-entering the top 30 highest-grossing films of 2025. To achieve this, it must earn approximately $7 million more to surpass Ballerina's $137.2 million. Given its current momentum, Black Phone 2 has a realistic chance of reaching this target before its theatrical run concludes.
Set four years after the original, the sequel follows Finn as he continues to grapple with his past trauma. However, the masked kidnapper The Grabber begins to haunt the dreams of Finn's younger sister, Gwen, suggesting the terror is far from over. The film stars Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw.
