- Release date for the ports is set for July.

Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are officially heading to modern PlayStation consoles in July. Treyarch announced on June 17 that the two popular titles from the PS3 era are being ported, with the ports handled by Iron Galaxy.
These new versions will include the complete campaigns, multiplayer modes, and zombie experiences. While rumors suggested remasters, Treyarch confirmed these are indeed ports, implying enhanced performance and visuals over their original releases but likely without significant new features.
The company has not yet revealed the pricing for these ports, but fans are hopeful they will be reasonably priced, especially considering the digital cost of the original Black Ops in 2026.
Fans also await news on potential Xbox versions, as Xbox players can currently access the games via backward compatibility, though these versions are known to have issues with hacked players and underutilize current hardware.
