In a highly competitive selection process, the Black List has chosen 6 talented screenwriters to participate in its 11th annual Projects Lab. The participants, Maren Hill, Max Olson, Nathan Xia, Sahand Nikoukar, Teddy Cecil, and Urvashi Pathania, were selected from over 2,200 script submissions.
During the weeklong workshop in Ojai, California, the writers will have the opportunity to develop their screenplays through peer workshops and one-on-one sessions with experienced screenwriting mentors, including Pippa Bianco, Liz Hannah, Maryam Keshavarz, Ry Russo-Young, Leigh Janiak, and Scott Myers. The diverse range of projects covers themes such as mental health, family dynamics, and cultural identity, showcasing the breadth of talent and perspectives represented in this year's cohort.
