Billy Crystal's grandkids meet his iconic characters
27 Oct
Summary
- Grandchildren met Billy Crystal's iconic characters through his play.
- Crystal's grandchildren previously only knew him via character voices.
- Grandson's bar mitzvah occurred on Crystal's own 65th anniversary.
Veteran actor Billy Crystal revealed that his grandchildren have recently experienced his performances firsthand. This marks the initial occasion for his four grandchildren to witness him in action on stage.
Previously, his grandchildren's only connection to his career was through speaking with him as his famous characters. Crystal recalled calls where they asked to speak with Mike Wazowski or Max, with him obliging in character.
Crystal, who has two daughters and four grandchildren, also shared a heartwarming anecdote about his grandson's bar mitzvah. This significant event coincided with the 65th anniversary of Crystal's own bar mitzvah, a moment he described as very special.
While his grandchildren have adjusted to his fame, sometimes humorously questioning his celebrity, Crystal cherishes these moments of connection and shared family history.
