Billy Bob Thornton recently made an unexpected appearance at a Los Angeles benefit show, connecting with the audience via FaceTime. Thornton was unable to travel to the event due to a severe nor'easter impacting New Jersey, where he was filming the movie "Somedays." Despite the weather challenges, he was determined to participate in the benefit hosted by his friend Dwight Yoakam.

Yoakam's benefit, held at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood, aimed to raise funds for Children's Hospital L.A. During Yoakam's performance, Thornton's phone was brought onto the stage, allowing him to interact with the crowd and his friend. This unique situation marked a first in Yoakam's four decades of show business. Thornton humorously described the weather in New Jersey, noting it was 4 degrees Fahrenheit and warmed up to 17.

While on the balcony of his hotel room, Thornton joked about ignoring a "No Smoking" sign. He also expressed pride in the event's purpose but lightheartedly stated he would avoid January film shoots unless they were in Hawaii. The actor's resourceful participation highlighted his commitment to the cause despite his enforced absence.
