Billie Lourd Keeps Hollywood Legacy Alive at Home

Billie Lourd is honoring the memory of her mother, Carrie Fisher, and grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, by continuing to reside in the home they once shared.

Lourd, 34, expressed sadness that her children, Kingston, five, and Jackson, three, will not know their Star Wars legend grandmother personally, following Fisher's death in 2016 and Reynolds' passing a day later. However, she finds a profound connection to her mother through the house.

"My kids get to know my mom through this house because this house is my mom... Her energy is still in the house," Lourd stated. She actively keeps their history alive by watching their iconic films with her children.

Her children are already avid fans of Star Wars and enjoy classics like Singin' in the Rain. While watching these movies can be a beautiful reminder, Lourd acknowledges it can also be difficult, a sentiment familiar to anyone who has experienced loss.
