Billboard and Starlite Music Group have announced an extended collaboration, securing their strategic alliance through 2026 and 2027. This partnership, initiated with the first Billboard event outside the United States last year, aims to create significant opportunities for artists. Sandra García-Sanjuán, co-founder of Starlite Music Group, emphasized that this renewal solidifies the alliance, serving as a bridge between the American and Spanish music scenes.
The Billboard No. 1s event is set to return to Madrid this Christmas, integrated into the Starlite Occident programming from December 11-23. This event will once again facilitate connections between the music industries of America and Spain. Leila Cobo, co-executive director of content at Billboard, highlighted this as part of Billboard's commitment to expanding its brand into new international markets, with Spain acting as a key gateway to Europe.
The next iteration of Billboard No. 1s Spain is scheduled for December at IFEMA Madrid, as part of the Starlite Occident Madrid series. This upcoming event will showcase performances by artists who have achieved top rankings on the Billboard Hits of the World Spain Songs chart, alongside special recognitions. The previous edition in December 2025 drew over 5,000 attendees and featured prominent artists like Ana Mena and Pablo Alborán, marking a significant milestone for Billboard's international presence.
