On November 11, 2025, Billboard announced a groundbreaking partnership with Starlite, the renowned Spanish entertainment company that produces the annual Starlite Festivals in Marbella and Madrid. The two entities are collaborating to host the first-ever Billboard No. 1s event outside of the United States, and the first to be dedicated solely to Latin music.
Dubbed "Billboard No. 1s Spain" or "Billboard Números Uno España," the event is set to take place on December 15, 2025, as part of the week-long Starlite Madrid festival. The evening will feature live performances by artists who have topped the Billboard Hits of the World Spain Songs chart, along with special honors and recognition.
This marks a significant expansion of Billboard's global footprint, as the company has previously only hosted its Billboard No. 1s events within the United States. "Partnering with Billboard, the Bible of the music industry, is an honor for us," said Sandra García-Sanjuán, the founder and CEO of Starlite. "It's an honor to partner with Billboard, especially because it's the first time they do a Billboard No. 1s event outside of the U.S."
Leila Cobo, Billboard's chief content officer for Latin/español, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, "As Billboard expands its international presence, we're thrilled to partner with Starlite for our first live concert event in Spain. Starlite is an iconic, innovative brand that's created a unique festival unlike anything else, and Sandra is a visionary executive. We're excited to launch our Billboard No. 1s in Spain with them."
