To mark the beginning of the final countdown, the makers of the popular reality show released a special teaser featuring host Mohanlal, who has been the face of Bigg Boss Malayalam since its inception. In the short video, the superstar can be seen counting down the days to the finale, asking viewers the all-important question "Who will lift the trophy?" In another teaser, Mohanlal hints at the show's nearing conclusion, saying it's "time for the inevitable end" and inviting fans to decide who truly deserves the title by casting their votes.

This season, which premiered on August 3, 2025, began with 20 contestants from diverse walks of life, including actors, social media influencers, models, and professionals. True to its legacy of unpredictability, the show introduced five wildcard entries on the 27th day, adding a fresh wave of drama, strategy, and intense competition inside the Bigg Boss house.
