Bhooth Bangla Release Blocked Amid Show Dispute
16 Apr
Summary
- Bhooth Bangla's release delayed again due to show-sharing dispute.
- Dhurandhar The Revenge seeks 50% showing in single screens.
- Bookings remain unavailable for Bhooth Bangla in major cities.

The release of the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has been delayed for a second time, now facing uncertainty for its April 17 premiere. The film's makers are embroiled in a dispute with the distributors of Dhurandhar The Revenge over the allocation of showtimes in single-screen cinemas.
Dhurandhar The Revenge's distributors are requesting 50% of the screen share, arguing the film is still performing well, evidenced by a Rs. 6.50 crore collection on Tuesday. Conversely, the Bhooth Bangla team seeks full showcasing, asserting that Dhurandhar The Revenge has had a four-week run and it's time for their film to receive its due attention based on advance bookings.
As of April 16, numerous single-screen and even some two-screen cinemas in Mumbai, Delhi, and Jaipur have yet to open advance bookings for Bhooth Bangla's April 17 release. Paid previews are permitted for one night show on April 16, but the ongoing dispute prevents ticket sales from commencing for the official release date.
