- The movie experienced a significant slowdown in daily earnings.
The Marathi horror-comedy thriller, Bhootam Bhayyam, is nearing the end of its theatrical journey, with an anticipated lifetime collection of 3.5 crore net in India. The film, starring Karan Sonawane and others, concluded its 12-day run with a total net collection of 2.82 crore. This performance positions it as the 8th highest-grossing Marathi film of 2026, surpassing Tighee but falling short of Super Duperr for the 7th spot.
Released with moderate anticipation, Bhootam Bhayyam showed initial promise but experienced a sharp decline in subsequent days. Collections have slowed considerably, dropping below 10 lakh daily. On its twelfth day, the film garnered an estimated 9 lakh, a slight increase from the previous day attributed to discounted ticket prices. The week-wise breakdown reveals that 2.21 crore was earned in the first week, with subsequent days adding smaller amounts.
The film's total gross collection stands at 3.32 crore. To reach the 7th highest-grossing spot, it needed to earn an additional 62 lakh, which appears unlikely given its current trajectory. Therefore, Bhootam Bhayyam is set to conclude its run at the 8th position on the list of top Marathi grossers for 2026.
