Summary
- Dream Warrior Pictures sued Ajay Devgn's Bholaa over alleged copyright infringement.
- Bombay High Court is hearing jurisdiction issues in the copyright dispute.
- Payments were allegedly missed, leading to termination of remake rights.

A legal battle is underway in the Bombay High Court concerning the Hindi remake of 'Kaithi,' titled 'Bholaa,' starring Ajay Devgn. Dream Warrior Pictures, the original producers of the Tamil film, has accused the makers of 'Bholaa' of copyright infringement and violating remake rights. The court is currently deliberating on its jurisdiction to hear the case, as the producers of 'Bholaa' have challenged it.
Dream Warrior Pictures alleges that despite agreements for the Hindi adaptation, including one with Reliance Entertainment Studios on March 29, 2023, key payments were not made. Following a legal notice issued in October 2024 demanding Rs. 4 crore, the company maintains that all rights reverted to them in November 2024 due to non-payment. This has led to a suit seeking to prevent further distribution and streaming of 'Bholaa.'
