Yesudas's Legacy Celebrated at Bharat Bhavan

The Culture Minister, Saji Cherian, is set to inaugurate the renovated Bharat Bhavan building on Tuesday at 11:30 am. This venue holds historical significance as the former residence of legendary singer K J Yesudas during his student days. The inauguration ceremony will be followed by the state-level Microfilm Award ceremony, celebrating achievements in the field.
Prior to the main event, notable music groups will perform songs by K J Yesudas at the Semmangudi High-Q theatre. A special performance by the Vayalar Cultural Forum Choir, comprising 50 singers led by Ravishankar, will feature eight of Yesudas's National Award-winning songs. Additionally, art enthusiasts can witness real-time paintings created on a graffiti wall.
The evening will culminate with a dance theatre performance named 'Janakiyam'. This presentation will involve approximately 50 female actors and focus on powerful female figures from mythology and epics, aiming to convey a strong message against war. All events associated with the inauguration are open to the public with free entry.
