This unique gathering transformed a traditional devotional music experience into an energetic, alcohol-free, pub-like atmosphere. The event aimed to connect the youth with their cultural roots through music and interaction.
The organizers incorporated an innovative element by using QR codes displayed on LED screens. Attendees scanned these codes with their phones to answer multiple-choice questions about their perceptions of life, fostering a collective understanding and comfort in shared experiences.
Nandagovindam Bhajans, known for blending traditional bhajans with popular music, presented a playlist designed for high-quality soundscapes, enhanced by lead and bass guitars alongside their usual instruments. Actor and singer Vineeth Sreenivasan made a surprise appearance, performing several popular songs.
Initially formed as a conventional bhajan group in 2000, Nandagovindam has evolved significantly. Their popularity surged during the lockdown through YouTube videos, and they have since performed extensively, both domestically and internationally, while also launching initiatives like the 'Janani' sessions for mothers and the 'Drishti' campaign for eye donation.
