Bhagam Bhag 2 Shoot Scrapped Amid Legal Dispute
4 Mar
Summary
- Bhagam Bhag 2 filming halted due to a contract dispute.
- A legal notice was sent to stall the project's March schedule.
- Akshay Kumar was unaware of legal issues before shooting.

The production of Bhagam Bhag 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, and Paresh Rawal, has been halted due to a legal dispute. The film was scheduled to commence shooting in India, including Lucknow, from March 2, 2026. However, Ekta Kapoor has filed a legal case against director Raaj Shaandilyaa for allegedly breaching their three-film contract by undertaking projects outside her banner without an NOC or refunding an advance.
A legal notice was dispatched to Raaj Shaandilyaa and producers Ashwin Varde and Cape of Good Films, leading to the cancellation of the planned 25-day shooting schedule. This development has resulted in the release of all actor dates. The future of Bhagam Bhag 2 is now uncertain, as a prolonged delay could lead to the project being permanently shelved, especially since the actors have already committed to other films starting in June.
Akshay Kumar, in particular, was reportedly unaware of the legal entanglements just days before the scheduled commencement of filming. The stakeholders are reportedly attempting to resolve the ongoing legal issues. It is possible that the film may be revived with a new director if the dispute is settled.
