Berserk Anime Franchise Captivates Fans Old and New

The Berserk anime franchise, based on the acclaimed manga series created by Kentaro Miura, has been captivating audiences since the 1990s. In recent years, the franchise has experienced a significant resurgence, attracting a whole new generation of fans.

The story of Berserk follows the journey of Guts, a skilled warrior who joins a band of mercenaries. As he cuts a path of bloody destruction across the land, Guts finds himself plunged into an increasingly complex world of men and monsters, where he must rely on his keen mind and keener blade to prevail.

What makes Berserk so compelling is its ability to ground its characters even as they tangle with otherworldly horrors and unimaginable evils. Guts, the everyman protagonist, is a paradoxical character who is both like no other man in the world and yet still relatable to the audience.

The Berserk franchise has evolved over the years, with the original 1997 standalone series being followed by a series of films and a 2016 anime series. While the timeline can be a bit complex, fans can easily navigate the various incarnations to immerse themselves in this epic action-packed world.
