The film's narrative follows Brishti, a flawed and misunderstood divorced woman. Her impulsive decision to 'steal' her daughter for a birthday celebration takes a dark turn when the child is actually abducted. An unexpected discovery propels Brishti into a volatile chain of events, initiating a profound personal journey.
"Chheledhora" is described as a story about parental courage and selflessness, focusing on flawed individuals capable of deep love. The film promises a blend of family drama, thriller, and dark humor, with a morally complex female protagonist at its core. It is specifically targeted for the international festival circuit.
Swastika Mukherjee stars as Brishti, drawn to the character's vulnerability and fierce maternal love despite her flaws.
