- The campaign is set to run through summer 2027 on major sporting events.

Actor and filmmaker Ben Affleck, 54, is now starring in a new advertising campaign for Aflac. The commercials feature Affleck alongside Aflac's iconic spokespeople, including Deion Sanders, Nick Saban, and Dawn Staley, as well as the Aflac Duck. Aflac's Chief Marketing Officer, Garth Knutson, noted that the brand has considered a campaign with Affleck for over a decade.
This partnership officially began two years ago when Aflac reached out to Affleck's production company, Artists Equity, which he co-founded in 2022. Artists Equity has since been appointed as Aflac's creative agency of record, with discussions for extending their collaboration already underway. Knutson described the production as exceptionally smooth, highlighting the mutual admiration between Affleck and the coaches on set.
The new ads are scheduled to premiere on September 5, 2026, on ESPN's College Gameday and will continue to run through summer 2027. The campaign will span major tentpole sporting events such as the College Football Playoff, men's and women's college basketball tournaments, NFL matchups, and even live events like the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Affleck is also producing and co-directing these spots through Artists Equity.
Artists Equity has a proven track record in producing successful commercials, including a Dunkin' spot starring Affleck and Jennifer Lopez that ranked highly in USA TODAY's Ad Meter. The possibility of Aflac returning to a Super Bowl ad, following their 2017 appearance, has not been ruled out, with Knutson humorously noting Affleck's belief that the new commercials are "Super Bowl commercial" material.
