Beloved 'Fire Country' Star Exits Ahead of Season 4 Premiere

In a recent interview, Diane Farr, the actress who portrays Sharon on the popular TV series 'Fire Country', revealed that she was just as caught off guard about her onscreen husband Billy Burke's exit from the show as the rest of the audience. Farr, 56, explained that she found out about Burke's departure over the summer, and none of the cast members had any prior knowledge of the change.

The actress also noted that other character exits, such as Jake's potential transfer and Gabriela's departure, were also possibilities. However, Farr expressed her hope to see the "OG cast" remain, and she would love to explore storylines involving Gabriela and Bode in an "adult version" as well as Sharon seeing visions of her late husband, Vince.

The hardest part for Farr was dealing with Burke's exit, as the two had been so closely tied on the show. She recalled the "devastating" moment when Burke informed the cast of his decision to leave, leaving Farr feeling like she was "coming back in with only half [her] character."

Despite the challenges, Farr is determined to honor the grief and emotions that come with such a significant loss, as she had previously requested the showrunners to properly highlight the impact of losing someone in the line of duty.
