Fandango Sales has acquired the international distribution rights for Danielle Arbid's "Only Rebels Win," a film set to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival. The movie centers on a poignant love affair between Suzanne, a Lebanese widow with Palestinian roots, and Osmane, a young, undocumented Sudanese man seeking a better future in Beirut.
Their connection deepens against the backdrop of a fractured Lebanon on the verge of collapse. As their relationship becomes public, it ignites widespread anger and indignation, forcing the couple to confront hostility and stand resiliently against it.
The film features acclaimed actress Hiam Abbass and newcomer Amine Benrachid. Director Danielle Arbid is known for her award-winning work, while Abbass has a notable career including roles in "Succession."
