Australian media personality Beau Ryan has officially ventured into Hollywood by securing a voice role in "The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants." Ryan, who previously played professional rugby league, will voice the character of Coach Tuna, a tuna who resembles a shark and coaches Squidward.
Ryan shared on his radio show that he found it difficult to keep the role a secret, even telling his son despite signing a non-disclosure agreement. He humorously described his role as Coach Tuna as having "about 30 seconds of fame" and only two lines in the movie. The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is scheduled for release in cinemas on Boxing Day.
Following his retirement from the NRL in 2014 due to a neck injury, Ryan has built a successful media career, including hosting "The Amazing Race Australia" and appearing on "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" He also co-hosted "Gladiators Australia" and is currently part of the "Triple M Breakfast" team.
