Beatles Biopics: Mescal & Keoghan Film '64 Yacht Trip

Four biopics focusing on each member of The Beatles are in production, directed by Sam Mendes, with a collective premiere anticipated in April 2028. Recently, Paul Mescal, embodying Paul McCartney, and Barry Keoghan, as Ringo Starr, were filmed recreating a 1964 vacation.

The scene captured them on a yacht, reminiscent of McCartney and Starr's getaway to the U.S. Virgin Islands with their then-girlfriends, Jane Asher and Maureen Cox. Lucy Boynton and Mia McKenna-Bruce are cast as Asher and Cox, respectively.

During this 1964 trip, McCartney composed the song 'Things We Said Today.' He reflected on the joy of songwriting, comparing a finished song to a 'newborn baby' to be shared. Harris Dickinson and Joseph Quinn will portray John Lennon and George Harrison.

Mescal, who has met McCartney, expressed the privilege of portraying such creative figures. He will perform his own singing for the role. The project aims to shine a spotlight on each of the legendary rock band's members.
