Mind Games & Murder: A Netflix Thriller

A new Netflix mini-series, 'The Beast In Me,' offers a gripping psychological thriller perfect for autumn viewing. The series centers on Aggie Wiggs, a once-successful author played by Claire Danes, who has been suffering from severe writer's block since the tragic death of her young son, Cooper, in a car accident. Her life takes a dark turn when Nile Jarvis, a wealthy property mogul portrayed by Matthew Rhys, moves in next door with his new wife.

Jarvis himself is a figure of suspicion, having been a prime suspect in the disappearance and presumed murder of his first wife. Aggie becomes increasingly fascinated by him, delving into his twisted life in search of inspiration for a novel about a potential killer. This obsession quickly escalates into a dangerous battle of mind games and violence between the two.

The eight-part series features a notable cast, including Brittany Snow as Nile's current wife, Nina, and Jonathan Banks as Nile's imposing father, Martin.
