Chicago's 'The Bear' Earns Eight Emmy Nominations

The acclaimed Chicago-based series "The Bear" has garnered eight Emmy Award nominations for its fourth season, which was released in June 2025. Despite its intense atmosphere, the show is recognized in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Ayo Edebiri, who stars as Sydney Adamu, is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series, a category she previously won in.

Additional nominations include guest performances by Jamie Lee Curtis and the late Rob Reiner. "The Bear" creator Chris Storer also received a directing nomination, alongside nods for cinematography, sound mixing, and picture editing. The winners will be announced at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony on September 14, airing on CBS and Paramount+.

This season's nominations represent a decrease compared to previous years, yet the series continues its impressive streak since its debut in June 2022.
