Beach Boys Cancel More Summer Concerts
24 Sep
Summary
- The Beach Boys have canceled additional concerts on their tour.
- Frontman Mike Love previously took a break to 'recharge' in July.
- The band is celebrating the 60th anniversary of their album 'Pet Sounds'.

The Beach Boys have canceled several of their upcoming concert dates, extending postponements from their summer tour. Performances originally scheduled for September 24th, 25th, and 27th in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina, respectively, have been removed from venue websites, with some citing 'circumstances beyond the control' of the venues. This follows a July announcement where the band postponed remaining summer dates as frontman Mike Love, 85, took time to 'recharge.' Love stated the break was to maintain 'good vibrations' before resuming shows in September. The band's tour coincides with the 60th anniversary of their critically acclaimed 1966 album, 'Pet Sounds.' The Beach Boys, pioneers of surf rock, are known for hits like 'Surfin' USA' and 'Good Vibrations.' Co-founder Brian Wilson passed away in June 2025 at age 82. Mike Love and Al Jardine, 84, are the sole surviving original members. Jardine tours separately with members of Wilson's band.
