Sheffield Podcast Fest: Free BBC Shows Await!

The world's largest podcasting festival, 'Crossed Wires,' will descend upon Sheffield from July 2 to July 5, 2026. BBC Sounds and BBC Radio 4 have partnered with the event, transforming two key city venues into hubs for live podcast recordings and flagship radio shows.

Visitors can experience a wide array of cross-genre BBC content, from news and comedy to investigations and sport, all free of charge. A significant new feature for 2026 is the availability of selected live Sheffield sessions on BBC iPlayer, allowing audiences nationwide to tune in.

Key BBC programs like Newscast, Woman's Hour, and The Traitors: Uncloaked will feature prominently. The festival aims to bring communities together through shared audio experiences, with free tickets available via reservation and same-day entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
