Dave Bautista, known for his powerful on-screen presence since his wrestling days and as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, continues to impress in his 50s. His physique and strength were recently highlighted during the production of "The Wrecking Crew," where he co-stars with Jason Momoa.
In their new film, Bautista and Momoa play half-siblings. Momoa, 46, shared in a recent interview that while filming a fight sequence, he experienced genuine apprehension due to Bautista's immense strength, even letting out a panicked expletive.
Although both actors were part of the "Dune" cast, they did not share scenes. "The Wrecking Crew" represents a more direct on-screen pairing. The buddy movie concept originated from Bautista himself via a social media post nearly five years ago.
Directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, "The Wrecking Crew" is slated for a Prime Video release on January 30, 2026. The film also features Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Morena Baccarin, and Stephen Root.
