Batwara 1947: 120 Crore Budget Challenge

Batwara 1947, featuring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Shabana Azmi, is scheduled for release on August 14. This film marks a significant collaboration between Sunny Deol and director Rajkumar Santoshi. Following the monumental success of Gadar 2, which grossed over 680 crore globally, Sunny Deol's salary saw a substantial increase, influencing the budgets of his subsequent projects.

With an estimated budget of 120 crore, Batwara 1947 has become Sunny Deol's most expensive solo lead film, exceeding the budget of Jaat. For the movie to be considered a success, it needs to achieve a net collection of 120 crore at the Indian box office. Any earnings beyond this amount will contribute to its clean success.

While a box office clash with Awarapan 2 might impact its opening, favorable audience reception and word-of-mouth could significantly boost Batwara 1947's performance. Given Sunny Deol's track record with films like Gadar 2 and Border 2, achieving a 120 crore net total appears attainable if the content resonates strongly.
