This new version of the Clown Prince of Crime is depicted as being deeply interested in the complexities of the human condition.
Executive producer James Tucker revealed that this approach to the Joker intentionally harks back to the character's origins while still feeling fresh. The trailer features the Joker engaging Batman directly, questioning his identity and purpose. While many details remain under wraps, including the voice actor, the creative team aims for a unique portrayal.
The upcoming season will also see the return of Harley Quinn and the introduction of villains like The Riddler, Mad Hatter, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow.
