The song garnered an audience increase of 23% in the week of January 23-29, with plays on 25 stations. This entry extends Manilow's remarkable AC chart history to over half a century, with his first appearance being in November 1974 with "Mandy."
"Mandy" also initiated Manilow's impressive record of 13 No. 1 hits on the AC chart, placing him third in history behind Elton John and the Carpenters. He has accumulated 28 AC top 10s throughout his career. This recent chart success follows his cover of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which reached No. 14 in December 2023.
The song "Once Before I Go" was originally written by Peter Allen and Dean Pitchford, with Allen recording it in 1983. Manilow's version was produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Demonte Posey.
