Amazon Prime Video's upcoming "Barbershop" television series has significantly bolstered its ensemble with the addition of eight new guest stars. This expansion brings prominent talent like Zack Fox, Ego Nwodim, Diallo Riddle, Ziwe, Tituss Burgess, Comedian CP, Devon Walker, and Belmont Cameli into the fold.
The series is set to capture the vibrant atmosphere of Calvin's barbershop in Chicago. It centers on Travis "Trav" Porter, who aims to emulate his grandfather's legacy as a legendary barber at the renowned establishment. The shop remains a central hub for community interaction, lively debates, and, of course, the city's dopest haircuts.
Marshall Todd, a co-writer from the original "Barbershop" film, returns to pen the series and will also serve as an executive producer and co-showrunner. He is joined by Max Searle in these capacities. The production boasts a robust executive producing team, including Kevin Hart and others from Hartbeat Productions, Busy B Entertainment, Prominent Productions, and State Street Pictures.
