7 Oct
Summary
- Banijay and All3Media have merged, creating a large production entity.
- The combined company boasts annual revenues of $8.5 billion.
- Jane Turton remains as Deputy CEO, focusing on integration and job preservation.

The global production landscape was reshaped on July 9 with the successful merger of Banijay Entertainment and All3Media. This union has birthed an entity with a pro forma annual revenue of €7.4 billion ($8.5 billion) and an extensive content catalog featuring titles such as MasterChef, The Traitors, Peaky Blinders, Midsomer Murders, and Big Brother.
Marco Bassetti now leads the combined company as CEO. Jane Turton, All3Media's long-serving CEO, has been appointed Deputy CEO, a move she embraced despite other potential opportunities. Turton expressed her commitment to integrating All3Media into Banijay, aiming to protect jobs and leverage the scale of the new, well-backed business.
The integration process, which began in July, focuses on achieving year-end targets and operational synergy, with planned cost savings of approximately €50 million ($57 million). This strategic consolidation aims to enhance the in-house production and international rollout of formats, as exemplified by the success of The Traitors.
The combined entity now controls a catalog exceeding 265,000 hours from over 170 production companies. Leadership teams for production have been established in the UK, US, and Germany, encompassing well-known subsidiaries. A key challenge moving forward is harmonizing All3Media's "federal" producer model with Banijay's geographic structure, with a focus on maintaining creative leadership as the core criterion for success.
