Five ballerinas face a harrowing ordeal when they become stranded in a remote forest. Seeking shelter at an eerie roadside inn, they must transform their years of intense ballet discipline into tools for survival. The film "Pretty Lethal" features a novel combat style dubbed "ballet-fu," developed through meticulous choreography.
Director Vicky Jewson collaborated closely with stunt and ballet doubles, many from London's Royal Opera, to create this unique fighting form. A dedicated glossary of "ballet-fu" moves was established, ensuring authenticity. This rigorous preparation allowed the dancers to seamlessly integrate their grace and precision into effective combat, a feat prominently showcased in the film's bar fight scene.
